Rules:

General Rules:

1.    Owners must clean up after their dogs.  Plastic bags and trash cans are available in the off leash areas and also several places in the 35 acres.

2.    No children under the age of 10 allowed within the off-leash fenced in areas.  The presence of children under age 10 is discouraged under any circumstances for their own health and safety.

a.  Children are more susceptible to germs and bacteria, and dog parks are just naturally un-hygienic.

b.  Even friendly dogs can play rough, and small children can be harmed or frightened by a dog that really is just playing.

c.   Children that run, shout, wave their arms about, jump up or down or otherwise agitate the dogs may be asked to leave.

3.    Dogs with dangerous behavior are prohibited.  Dogs will wrestle, chase, bark, snarl and even snap at each other as part of their normal socialization.  However, owners should interfere and stop the interaction if it appears to be escalating into a fight.

4.    Do not leave your dog unattended.  Owners need to monitor their dog's actions at all times.  You are responsible for their behavior.

5.    No more than two dogs per adult.  It is almost impossible to properly supervise more than two dogs at a time.

6.    Absolutely no alcoholic beverages are allowed within the dog park.

7.    Pinch collars and choke collars are not permitted inside the off-leash areas.  Only buckle collars are permitted.

8.    Dogs must have passed all health regulations to be in the park.

9.    Female dogs in heat are prohibited.

10.        Puppies must be older than four months.

11.        No smoking in the off-leash areas.

12.        Do not bring a dog to the park if he is sick.  Only healthy dogs should visit the dog park.

13.        Your dog should be responsive to basic cues.  Including come when called, sit, leave it so you can get control of him if necessary.

14.        You must supervise your dogs play.  Be prepared to interrupt inappropriate play whether your dog is the perpetrator or the victim.

15.        Remember not all dogs enjoy playing with others.  Be willing to leave if your dog isn’t having a good time.

16.        Carry 1 leash per dogs at all times.

17.        Small dogs may use the big dog area at owner’s discretion.

18. No pet or people food or drink allowed inside fenced areas.

19. No more than 15 medium/large dogs inside fenced in area at one time.

20. No more than 10 small dogs inside small fenced in area at one time.
