HOLY MUTTRIMONY COMES TO
CONNEAUT LAKE BARK PARK
“Here comes the bride and groom”….actually, here comes the Pug and the Shih Tzu. On Saturday, June 12th, Crawford County’s first official Canine Wedding will be held at Conneaut Lake Bark Park at 12810 Foust Road on the East Side of Conneaut Lake. The special canine event day opens at 10:00 am. The first event is the Blessing of the Animals at 11:30 am. Father Steve Anderson from Our Lady Queen of the Americas and his canine buddy Gabriel will do the blessing.
At 12:30 pm, there will be a Wedding Party Costume Contest for any canines that would like to participate as members of the wedding party. Canines not participating in the costume contest can still attend the wedding as special guests.
When the wedding music begins at 1:30 pm, Bella Mya, canine daughter of Mary Edwards from Meadville and Tyler James, canine son of Sue Anderson from Conneaut Lake will proceed down the aisle to exchange special muttrimony vows before The Honorable Tim Kaider, Mayor of Conneaut Lake.
There will be an interactive wedding reception following the ceremony with canine wedding cake, and owner wedding cake for the guests. Ice tea and lemonade will also be provided. Hotdogs will be available for purchase. A photographer will be available to take pictures of the ceremony. Everyone is invited to participate in the canine/owner activities. Admission is $1.00 per person or canine. All activities at the park are always open to the public whether a member or non-member of the bark park. But remember, all dogs must be on a leash COME, SIT, AND STAY at Conneaut Lake Bark Park and join the fun at all of our events.
