About Us

Mission Statement:

The mission of Conneaut Lake Bark Park, Inc. is to introduce the general public to the wonderful world of opportunity that exists for the owner and the pet to enjoy together, both educational and recreational canine sports and activities.  A dog park promotes responsible pet ownership while providing an opportunity for dog owners to be better informed on issues surrounding the health and welfare of their dog.  Conneaut Lake Bark Park, Inc. is committed to providing a facility that will allow both the elderly dog owner and the handicapped dog owner an accessible place to exercise their companions.  The dog park will provide a social setting in which people can gather and interact with other pet owners.  Through a large variety of both recreational and education programs and activities, Conneaut Lake Bark Park, Inc. will bring pet owners together to enjoy the benefits of owning a dog and the benefits of building a strong bond of companionship with their pet.  The dog owner will be able to socialize and exercise their dogs in a safe environment and enable their pets to legally run off-leash in designated areas.

Toward the goal of providing responsible pet ownership, Conneaut Lake Bark Park, Inc. plans to offer a Doggie Day Care program to provide a safe, fun and stimulating environment for the family dog while giving the owner peace of mind and more flexibility in scheduling daily responsibilities and family activities.  The dog no longer will need to spend endless hours alone at home often crated or confined for extended periods of time.  With the doggie day care and training classes being offered, CLBP hopes to prevent unwanted and problematic behaviors in family dogs, and allow families to have full enjoyment of their canine family members.  While at doggie day care, dogs can interact and play together, and can be well cared for and exercised while under the supervision of a caring, knowledgeable, and compassionate trained staff.

The main focus of Conneaut Lake Bark Park, Inc. is to make the dog park, doggie day care, and many of the other activities financially accessible to as many individuals as possible living in Crawford County and the surrounding area.  This will be accomplished through numerous special programs made available to pet owners regardless of economic level.
