January 30 Saturday Understanding Dog Behavior
This seminar will give the pet owners the opportunity to better understand the behavior of their dog in situations involving training, socialization, playing with other dogs, using the dog park, etc. In addition, signs of stress, building a relationship with your dog, and dealing with particular problems will be discussed. Class will include a power point presentation, hand-outs and discussions. The cost is $10.00. Coffee and donuts at 8:30, class from 9:00 am 12:00 pm.
February 27 Saturday - First Aid for Dogs
The dog owner will understand how to deal with several medical conditions and what they can do until the dog recovers or needs to go to the veterinarian. Owners will receive a certificate and pet first aid book from the American Red Cross. The cost is $25.00 and includes the book. Coffee and donuts at 8:00, class 8:30 am 12:30 pm.
March 20 Saturday Mini Workshops
The dog owner will receive some basic information on new techniques used in veterinarian medicine involving the health of their pet.
A. Use of acupuncture in treating various conditions
B. Advantages and disadvantages of laser surgery
C. Dealing with the geriatric pet, euthanasia, losing a pet
D. Chiropractic practices used
The cost is $10.00. Coffee and donuts at 8:30, class 9:00 am 12:30 pm.
All classes will be held at the Station 3 Fire Hall Social Center on Route 18 North, on the East Side of Conneaut Lake.
